Coming to the web was an incident and the first website i registered ever was www.alnasib.com with CyberNet for my Ex.Company named Al-Nasib Pearl International (Private) Limited in June 2008. After leaving Alnasib (both company and web -  this is also an interesting story), i registered www.mzforex.com with Websouls in April 2009. The purpose was promoting the business of Forex (FX) but i suffered a huge loss by trading Forex which leaded me to switch from FX to web. Then i decided to develop an online Anti-Forex Community under the name of SorryFOREX and reserved a domain name www.sorryforex.com with JustHOST but project was cancelled due to lack of men power and i intended to become a web developer.

So, i started my own company “INTERSolutions ” at www.intersolutions.com.pk in August 2009 as a solution provider for internet and web industry and launched my first project over the web addressing www.yuppy.pk which was renamed to UrudPoint and moved to www.urdupoint.pk. Later on, INTERSolutions was redefined as MZ LOGIX in January 2010 with online presence at www.mzlogix.com and i sold out urdupoint in August 2011 due to lack of funds required to keep urdupoint in running. On the other hand, i launched a new website www.mzwallet.com named MZ Wallet to provide consultancy services regarding E-Currencies specially Liberty Reserve in March 2011.

While i was serving as Software Engineer at GS LOGIX, I was searching for most suitable domain name for one of my project when one of my colleague, Adnan Haider suggested to find a name alleged with word Geek, so i found and registered www.geekprofiles.com with JustHost.

In November 2011, i planned to merge all of my websites into single one because of administration and management problems which i was facing by managing multiple websites e.g mzforex.com, mzwallet.com, mzlogix.com, geekprofiles.com etc. Many options i had but the Adnan’s inception was fertilized in my mind very deeply and i decided to replace my brand name MZ with Geek and selected the domain www.geekfolio.co for my all in one website. I reserved the various most popular domain extensions like .co, .net, .org, .info, .biz except .com unfortunately that was not available but www.geek-folio.com i did. Of course! my all websites were moved and bundled at GeekFolio.

Three months passed, i found that many of my friends and probably other people also were unable to understand the name of my website in first voice or misspell while typing in their browser’s window. This was not a good news. As a result i opened my browser and started the new search for domain name, once again. After a very tired search, i found that i like…Yes! GEEKLY.CO the end of the term.
